The Pembroke Technology Department works to provide reliable, quality, innovative technological tools, leadership, innovation, and assistance to the students, educators, staff, and community within the Pembroke Central School District. The Technology Department strives to ensure all equipment, software, and services function in a customer service-oriented manner that promotes student achievement and academic success to prepare safe, responsible 21st century citizens.

Department Goals

  • Curriculum and Instruction-We aim to individualize instruction using technology that allows students to develop knowledge and skills using robust and adaptive tools to customize instruction for groups of students, or on a student-to-student basis, to ensure relevance and deep understanding of complex issues and topics.

  • Robust Infrastructure-We will work to provide tools, resources, data, and supportive systems that increase teaching opportunities and promote efficiency utilizing quality, high speed technology and infrastructure systems as these are essential to the advancing of digital learning.

  • Personalized Professional Learning Technology– We will increase professional learning opportunities by expanding access to high-quality, ongoing, job-embedded opportunities for professional growth for teachers, administrators, and other education professionals ultimately leading to improvements in student success while creating broader understanding of the skills that comprise success in a digital age.

  • Data Privacy and Security- We will work to ensure that sound data privacy and security policies, procedures, and practices are in place at the district, school, classroom, and student levels, that student information is securely stored and student privacy rights are maintained.
