Tax Impact

A number of residents asked questions regarding the specific tax impact for their individual properties. The District contacted the Genesee County Treasurer's office and was provided public information in the form of spreadsheets.  At the links below, each residential and agricultural property owner can see what the actual estimated tax increase would be, using current assessments, if the tax increase were to occur in one year.   The data is sorted by the "Total AV" column (Total Actual Value) from low to high.  Property owners can use that column and their Tax Map #s from their tax bills to identify your properties.  As mentioned in the public meeting, it is the District's intent to step more slowly into the increases over two or three years:
