The Pembroke Central School Board of Education announces an anticipated vacancy on the Board.  This vacancy will be filled by appointment of a majority of the Board of Education.  The appointee will serve until the next annual election, which will take place on May 19, 2020.  The winner of the election will serve the remainder of the unexpired term, which is May 2021.   

Qualifications for membership on a School Board include: 
- Must be a qualified voter of the district (a citizen of the United States, 18 years or older). 
- Must be and have been a resident of the district for a continuous and uninterrupted period of one year. 

School Board meetings are held on the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Tuesdays every month.  School Board members are elected for 5 year terms. 

All interested candidates are invited to submit a letter of interest listing any and all pertinent experiences and qualifications that you wish the Board of Education to consider.  Please submit your letter of interest by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, to:
