Learn about SAT and ACT

Taking the SAT and/or the ACT is an important goal and piece of the College Application process.  The SAT and ACT are both college admission exams and are generally required by 4 year colleges as part of your college application.

Many 2 year colleges will also use SAT or ACT scores to help with academic placement.  2 year colleges, such as GCC will also commonly offer a placement exam as an alternative if you have not taken the SAT or the ACT.

The SAT and ACT are both offered to students 7 times throughout the school year.  For the current listing of test dates, click the links below to visit the respective testing websites.

These exams are administered on Saturdays.  The two most common testing locations where Pembroke students take the SAT are Batavia High School or Clarence High School.  The nearest ACT test location is at Genesee Community College (GCC) in Batavia.  When completing the online registration for either exam, select the testing location that is most convenient for you.
