Student Registration

Currently, the Pembroke School District offers a Universal Pre-K Program (U.P.K.) for all four-year olds who are not kindergarten eligible (turning five years of age on or before December 1, 2020). There is no cost to parents for this program.
The number of full day and half day classes offered next year will be dependent on parent interest, and registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. The deadline for registration is May 1, 2020. Transportation details will be discussed at a Parent Information Meeting, which will be held in the Primary School cafeteria on Thursday, March 26, 2020, 6:00 p.m.
The goals of the U.P.K. Program are aimed at preparing four-year olds for a full-day kindergarten in the areas of play, language, literacy skills, socio-emotional skills, sensory experiences, aesthetic development, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Health and nutrition are prime concerns. All immunizations must be up to date before any child enters the U.P.K. Program. Proof of immunization is required, along with a copy of the child’s birth certificate and physical exam. The school nurse oversees injuries requiring first aid and will notify parents if a physician’s services are needed. If a child becomes ill and has to go home, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to transport the child.
Registration packets will be available at the meeting or can be picked up at the District Office at the High School, Routes 5 & 77 during regular school hours.
For questions regarding registration, please contact Sandra Lang in the District office at (585) 599-4525 ext 1950.
