Schooltool Parent Information

SchoolTool is the Pembroke Central School District’s student management system.  The Parent Portal will be the means by which Pembroke CSD parents will access their child(ren)'s grades, attendance, schedule, and other data.  Parent Portal activation is a ONE TIME event.  Once you have a parent portal account it is active for the duration your child(ren) attends the Pembroke Central School District.   • If you already have an email address on file with the District office, a Parent Portal account was automatically  generated for you and you should have received an email with your username and password information, as well a link to log onto SchoolTool.  
  • If you did not receive this Welcome email, please check your Spam folder to make sure it wasn’t caught by your Spam filter.
  • If neither of these apply, please call or email Christie Maisano at 585-599-4525 x1999 or cmaisano@pembrokecsd.org and it will be resent to the email you have on file.
  • If we do not have an email on file for you, please complete the form below to add or update the email we have on file for you and submit it to your school’s secretary.

Important–Once the information provided above is verified and processed, you will receive notification via email that your account has been created and instructions on how to get an initial password. When you receive your password, you will be able to access SchoolTool through our website: https://schooltool.pembrokecsd.org/Schooltoolweb, and change your password. Your User name is your email address. Your password should be alphanumeric, containing at least eight characters, two of which must be numeric, i.e. “yankee07”

There's also a Schooltool mobile app that you can download from the Google Play and iTunes stores. Use this URL: https://schooltool.pembrokecsd.org/Schooltoolweb/ and your username and password to receive alerts when grades are updated, to view report cards/progress reports, to monitor attendance, and to check your child's grades.

FAQs

Q. What is SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal?

A. SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal is a Web-based access portal that allows parents to view information about their child’s educational program, as well as how their son/daughter is doing in school.  In addition, parents can view their child's emergency contact and medical information via the portal.

Q. Who can access SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal?
A. All PCSD parents and students have access to the SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal.

Q. How do I log in?

  1. Go to the district’s Parent Portal Web site at https://schooltool.pembrokecsd.org/Schooltoolweb/. Don’t forget to bookmark this page.
  2. On the SchoolTool page, your username is the e-mail address that the district has on file in SchoolTool under “Basic Contact Information” (if you do not have an e-mail address on file with the district, please click on the link above to update your contact information.
  3. The password for the first log in will be e-mailed to parents. This is the only time you will use this password. Once you log in, you will be directed to create a new password that you will use on all future log ins. In the event you forget your password in the future, you can reset it by clicking on the “Forgot Password” link.
  4. After you log in, you also will be asked to verify that your basic contact information is correct. If anything is incorrect, or changes at any time during the school year, please contact your respective buildings to update it.
  5. Once that is complete, you will be able to review your child(ren)’s information.

Q. I currently receive email alerts from the district. Does this mean that my e-mail address is on file for the purpose of creating a SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal account?
A.  Parents must create an individual account  for the parent portal.


Q. Do I need any special software to access SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal?
A. No, you do not need any special software to access the portal. Parents only need Internet access. Please note: SchoolTool seems to work best when used with either the Internet Explorer or Safari browser.

Q. What will I find once I log on?
A. All parents and students will be able to view basic student information, including contact, health and attendance information. Middle and High School parents and students will also be able to see more detailed scheduling information. For most classes at the high school and middle school, you will be able to see assignments and due dates, as well as grades on previous work and class grades. All parents will also be able to send emails directly to teachers and view important messages and reminders throughout the school year.

Q. What exactly is an assignment?
A. An assignment is not just homework, but could also refer to tests, quizzes, participation, class projects, etc.

Q. What can I do if I see that my child has a low grade on assignments?
A. The best thing to do would be to contact the teacher and talk about your concerns. 

Q. Will my child be able to see his/her information online, as well?
A. Yes. Students will be able to create an account on the SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal using network username and password.

Q. Will students and parents see the same information on the SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal?
A. Yes, students and parents have access to all of the same information upon logging into their user account.


Q. Am I able to e-mail a teacher while I am in SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal?
A. Yes. To e-mail a teacher via SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal, simply click on the teacher's name in the "Schedule" tab. An email interface will open, allowing you to send an email directly to the teacher.

Q. I have children attending multiple schools in the district. Do I need a separate SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal account for each one?
A. No. Parents can access information for all of their children via one SchoolTool account. For example, a parent with a child at the middle school and two children at the high school can log on to the SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal and see the records for all three children.

Q. Who should I contact if I have questions about my child’s records as shown on SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal?
A. If you have any questions about the information you see on the portal or about your child’s performance in general, please do not hesitate to contact his/her teacher, school counselor, or school administrator.
